Job Description

Position Title Temporary Occupational Therapist Required Application Type School Related Personnel Salary/Pay Scale $777,020+ Job Description This position is a Competitive Civil Service Position and requires the applicant to be: Reachable on an existing Dutchess County Human Resources Certification of Eligible List; or, Currently working in, or previously held an Occupational Therapist civil service title; or, Other candidates who have equivalent education and licensing are encouraged to apply and will be considered as allowed per Civil Service regulations. Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a Temporary Occupational Therapist beginning mid-to-late October 2026 and running through the end of the school year. This position is responsible for meeting the therapeutic needs of selected individuals in the school population. The incumbent is responsible for evaluating, planning and providing occupational therapy treatment to students in accordance with referral from a physician or review committee.
Typical Work Activities:
Performs initial screening, evaluation and consultation for students referred to the program. Develop school-based goals, treatment objectives and therapeutic activities and tasks Maintain written case notes and other written documentation as required by school policy or state law Attends and participates in staff conferences on students' needs and progress Assesses and makes recommendations regarding adaptive and orthotic equipment needs and monitors status of equipment Related work as required For additional information, click the link to go to: Occupational Therapist Civil Service Title Occupational Therapist Job Qualifications
