Company Overview Positive Beginnings Inc. is a dedicated special education preschool serving children ages 3 to 5 years in the area. Our nurturing environment is designed to support children with special needs and their families, providing tailored educational programs that promote developmental growth and learning. Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Occupational Therapist to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children with diverse needs. In this role, you will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, support children's functional independence, and collaborate with families and educators to foster optimal development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive setting focused on early childhood intervention and special education. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate children's motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with each child's unique needs and goals Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and self-care skills Support children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and neurodevelopmental disorders through evidence-based practices Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, teachers, and medical professionals to ensure holistic care Facilitate discharge planning by preparing families for ongoing support after therapy sessions conclude Maintain accurate clinical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems in compliance with healthcare standards Requirements Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction Proven experience working with pediatric populations, including early intervention and school-aged children with disabilities Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy assessments, treatment plan development, and intervention strategies Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical documentation standards Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals Prior experience in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments is preferred Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and client-centered care Join us at Positive Beginnings Inc. where your expertise will help shape bright futures for children facing developmental challenges. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
