This full-time leadership role is ideal for a licensed Occupational Therapist who enjoys clinical oversight, mentorship, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. Position Summary The Occupational Therapy Supervisor will be responsible for completing initial evaluations and reassessments, providing clinical supervision to a team of up to ten per diem Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), reviewing and co-signing documentation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and agency requirements. This role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both patient outcomes and clinician development. Because the OTAs are per diem clinicians, schedules and caseloads may vary based on patient referrals and agency needs. The Occupational Therapy Supervisor must be flexible, responsive, and available to provide ongoing clinical oversight, documentation review, and support to their assigned team. Responsibilities Complete Occupational Therapy evaluations, reassessments, and supervisory visits throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Provide clinical supervision and support for a team of up to ten per diem Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs). Review, approve, and co-sign OTA treatment notes and documentation in accordance with New York State regulations. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality assurance initiatives. Maintain productivity standards while delivering exceptional patient care. Assist with managing and supporting OTA caseloads. Serve as a clinical resource for OTAs and provide timely guidance regarding patient care and documentation. Collaborate with agency leadership and interdisciplinary team members to support operational and clinical goals. Support onboarding, mentorship, and clinical development of Occupational Therapy Assistants. Time Commitment & Availability Full-time position with borough-wide coverage throughout New York City. Must maintain flexibility to accommodate varying OTA schedules and patient needs. Expected to be available on-call to support assigned OTAs and address time-sensitive clinical matters. Ability to prioritize and respond to urgent clinical, documentation, and supervisory needs as they arise. Travel throughout the five boroughs is required. Travel reimbursement is provided in addition to salary. Must be able to effectively manage a large geographic territory and support a team of up to ten OTAs. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Active, unrestricted New York State Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license and registration. Minimum of 2 years of clinical Occupational Therapy experience required. Previous supervisory and/or home care experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of New York State Occupational Therapy practice regulations and documentation requirements. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple clinicians and patient needs across a large geographic area. Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems preferred. Compensation & Benefits $115,000 annual salary.
