An Occupational Therapist helps patients with injuries, illnesses, and disabilities recover, improve, or develop skills needed for everyday activities. Assists people with mobility impairments to move easily around their homes; develops school and workplace settings that are accessible for individuals with physical or mental disabilities. May specialize in certain types of impairments or certain categories of patients.
Achieve at Home Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking PRN Occupational Therapists interested in providing exceptional, one-on-one Occupational Therapy services to the geriatric population in assisted living facilities and patients' homes. This opportunity allows you to customize your caseload based on your availability, preferred locations, and desired patient load. Therapists have flexibility in creating their schedules, with opportunities to grow or adjust their caseload and service area over time.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE DAYTIME AVAILABILITY AT LEAST 2 DAYS PER WEEK.
You do not need to be available for the entire day, but you must have consistent daytime availability on at least two weekdays in order to be considered for this position. Qualifications:
Active NY OT License Hands-on CPR certification Current
TB/PPD DAYTIME AVAILABILITY AT LEAST 2 DAYS PER WEEK
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients within your selected service area
Responsibilities Include:
Provide one-on-one Occupational Therapy services to patients in assisted living facilities and private homes Evaluate and treat patients to improve their ability to safely and independently perform activities of daily living and participate in meaningful daily activities Record patient responses to treatment and report outcomes through timely and accurate documentation Establish strong relationships with patients to keep them engaged and positive about their treatment Provide education and guidance to family members, caregivers, and home health aides when appropriate Conduct yourself in a kind, courteous, and professional manner with patients, family members, caregivers, facility staff, and others involved in the patient's care Maintain a positive, collaborative, team-oriented approach Why Work for Achieve at
