Job Description

Make a difference in students' lives by providing essential therapy services in a supportive school environment located near Rhinebeck, NY. This contract opportunity is designed for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) eager to collaborate with educators and families to promote student success and independence.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Previous experience delivering OT services in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal development, and documentation requirements Effective communication skills and ability to establish rapport with students, staff, and families Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple caseloads and adapt to changing priorities
Core Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional abilities and develop individual treatment plans to address needs related to academic participation, fine/gross motor skills, and sensory integration Deliver direct and consultative OT services within classrooms and other school settings Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student progress and integrate therapy recommendations into daily routines Document all evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports in accordance with district and legal requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for student goal-setting and accommodations Educate school staff and caregivers about strategies and tools to foster student independence and participation This assignment provides you with the opportunity to make positive, lasting impacts in a vibrant educational setting.
