Requirements:
Must have NYS license as an Occupational Therapist We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications: Exemplify WCSD vision, Core Beliefs, and Essential Skills Experience working with school-aged children in a school setting
Responsibilities:
Perform occupational therapy procedures upon the written prescription or referral from a physician, utilizing an exercise or creative activity treatment program designed andor adapted to correct or improve functional ability. Evaluates the degree of function and disability of students unless contraindicated by the supervising therapist's professional judgment or a physician's prescription. Develops a treatment plan based upon findings, short and long-term goals and in accordance with a physician's diagnosis, prescription or referral. Maintains program records including, but not limited to, the service budget, statistical reports of the frequency and types of treatment and number of students treated. Participates in research activities and the development of new treatment programs and techniques in conjunction with other staff and physicians. Participates and assists in the development of educational programs and instructs in-service education programs.
Salary:
Salary will be determined at the time of employment and determined by the WTA contract as well as education, and experience.
