Requirements & Preferred Experience:

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT license for the state of New York Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to develop and implement individualized plans for students Comfort managing a diverse caseload across various needs and abilities Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

Assess students needs through thorough evaluations and observations Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Document progress, maintain accurate records, and provide reports as needed Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in compliance with IEP goals Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to team decisions Provide training and resources to school staff regarding sensory, fine motor, and adaptive strategies Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging therapy environment
