Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist working with students across multiple school sites, serving grades PK-12. From August 17 through June 3, you'll dedicate your expertise to supporting student success in the Marion/Upper Sandusky region. Your meaningful contributions will help students of all ages grow stronger, learn new skills, and reach their goals in inclusive educational settings.
Qualifications and Background:
Active Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain one) for school-based practice. Previous experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, from preschool through high school. Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation for students with diverse needs. Ability to travel to 2-3 different school locations within the week. Robust communication skills, adaptability, and collaborative spirit when working with educators, families, and support staff. Organizational skills for managing a varied caseload and maintaining timely records.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to PK-12 students. Assess students' needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress. Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school-related functional skills. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate OT strategies into daily routines. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decision-making. Travel between school sites as needed (2-3 locations within the assignment area).
