Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist, working with a dynamic range of students in a school-based setting for the 2024-2025 academic year. This contract position offers a chance to support children from Pre-K through 12th grade across 2-3 school sites. The assignment runs from August 17th through June 3rd, providing you with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week while making a tangible difference every day.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license, and eligibility to practice within local/state school requirements Previous experience providing OT services in school or pediatric environments preferred Strong understanding of developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, staff, and families Able to travel between multiple school sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students and create individualized treatment plans supporting learning and daily skill development Deliver direct OT services as required by each student's IEP Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational planning Document progress and maintain timely, accurate records in compliance with district standards Provide consultation and training to school staff and parents regarding appropriate interventions and adaptive strategies Foster a supportive, engaging environment to help students increase independence and participation in school activities This position enables you to work with a varied caseload, apply evidence-based therapies, and collaborate with passionate professionals.
