We are a Long-Term Care and Assisted Living facility that provides quality care to our residents. Join a growing team.
Educational Requirements/Experience:
Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Must possess current, unencumbered license to practice as an Occupational Therapist from the Commonwealth. Must provide documentation of licensure/certification upon application for the position. Ability to work independently or as part of a group. Effectively communicate with others. LTC experience is a plus.
Duties are varied and include:
Review requests for occupational therapy and physicians' orders Interview residents to evaluate daily living skills and capacities and determine the extent of abilities and limitations Select rehabilitative and therapeutic activities and exercise based on the medical and social history of resident Teach basic living skills to residents as necessary and instructed Maintain Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements. Work cooperatively with the Nightingale team. Take the extra mile and interact with residents as needed.
