Job Description Summary:
Join the OhioHealth team as an Occupational Therapist! Experience one on one patient care, a flexible schedule, and a great benefits package. Home health OTs work with an interdisciplinary team to care for patients in the home setting. Join our amazing home health team where you have autonomy, a reasonable and fair weekend rotation, a flexible schedule, and limited on-call. Home health OTs provide skilled care to patients to achieve outcomes in collaboration with the patient's provider.Responsibilities And Duties:
Driving is an essential function of the job. 90% Direct Patient Care- Evaluates and treats patients after physician referral to: Evaluate patient's motor, cognitive, sensory integrative and/or psychosocial function.
Indirect Department Functions:
Supervises patient assignments and duties of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) and rehab technicians. Is involved in department quality improvement through utilization review and quality assurance program. Takes active role in orienting new staff members. Serves as clinical instructor for OT and COTA students. Educates other disciplines and medical/hospital personnel on the topic of OT purpose, goals and treatment policies and procedures. Represents department at problem-solving and committee meetings. Assumes other duties delegated by management. There is an expectation that an employee in this position may be requested to work at care sites other than their home care site. Bachelor's Degree (Required)BLS- Basic Life Support
- American Heart Association, DL-HC

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of home health Medicare regulations, JCAHO standards, home care reimbursement Experience in an acute, rehabilitation or home health setting Basic personal computer skills Knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of occupational therapy BLS certification For this position, in the Home Care department only, Minimum Qualifications include valid state driver's license, minimum of eighteen (18) years old, have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and provide proof of insurance, if applicable.Work Shift:
