Assignment Experience (What You Can Expect)
(When available, PSI shares real assignment details early in the process)
Typical caseload discussed before submission
Exposure to a variety of grade levels (PreK-12 opportunities)
1-2 building placement when possible
Collaborative teams including Teachers, Intervention Specialists, Counselors, and Administration
Your Impact as a School-Based OT
You'll help students build the functional, sensory, and fine motor skills they need to succeed in the classroom and daily school activities.
Core Responsibilities
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Provide direct OT services (individual and group)
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Support students' participation in academic, social, and daily living activities
Contribute to
MTSS / RTI
initiatives as appropriate
What We're Looking For
Master's or higher in Occupational Therapy
Valid Occupational Therapist license (State Specific)
School-based experience preferred, but newer professionals encouraged to apply — mentorship available
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Passion for supporting student growth and functional skill development
