Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the school setting by providing dedicated occupational therapy services to a single student for the remainder of the academic year. This contract position is ideal for an experienced OT who is passionate about helping children thrive in both educational and daily living skills. Your expertise will empower a 5th grade student in need of specialized support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state Previous experience in school-based, healthcare, or home health OT settings Strong understanding of pediatric mobility issues Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living, such as eating and personal care Compassionate, patient, and adaptable communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one hour of direct OT services per week to a 5th grade student with mobility challenges Support the student during mealtime and with personal care needs, such as assisting with mobility and benign changing Collaborate with teaching staff, caregivers, and other professionals to implement strategies for functional independence Accurately document sessions and progress in accordance with school and OT best practices Adjust interventions as needed to help the student achieve goals and participate fully in their school environment
