Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Empower a student to thrive with specialized support as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based contract role near Owasso, OK. This meaningful opportunity is ideal for an OT with experience in school settings, home health, or healthcare, looking to make a difference—even with limited hours. In this position, you will be dedicating 1 hour per week to work one-on-one with a 5th-grade student for the remainder of the school year. The student has notable mobility challenges and benefits from assistance with eating and personal care throughout his day. Your expertise will provide crucial, individualized support, helping him access education and daily life.
Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapy license and eligibility to practice in Oklahoma Previous experience in schools, home health care, or pediatrics highly valued Demonstrated ability to adapt interventions for students with mobility limitations Compassionate approach to assisting with personal care, such as eating and hygiene Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and other support staff Commitment to privacy and upholding student dignity at all times
Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored occupational therapy sessions focused on fostering independence and classroom participation Develop and implement activities and adaptive strategies for eating and mobility Collaborate closely with educators and caregivers to support the student's IEP goals Accurately document session notes, progress, and recommendations Serve as an advocate for the student's access and inclusion Experience the fulfillment of making a tangible impact for a single student in need, even within a limited weekly schedule.
