Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Support a dedicated 5th-grade student with your expertise as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the remainder of the academic year. This rewarding opportunity involves providing compassionate, individualized care for a student with mobility challenges who requires assistance during mealtimes and personal care. With a commitment of just one hour per week, you can make a meaningful difference while enjoying the benefits of a flexible contract position.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist licensure Prior experience in school, home health, or healthcare settings preferred Familiarity with supporting children with mobility needs Strong understanding of individualized education plans and collaboration with educational teams Ability to deliver occupational therapy interventions in a compassionate and respectful manner
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 occupational therapy for a fifth-grade student, focusing on mobility, feeding, and adaptive life skills Collaborate with teachers, aides, and family members to support the student's ongoing needs and goals Document all sessions and update progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements Monitor the student's safety and comfort while assisting with eating and position changes Offer practical recommendations and education to staff and family as appropriate
