Your expertise in fine and gross motor skills will help students achieve greater independence and success in their academic pursuits.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Prior experience working in school-based OT settings preferred Ability to deliver both on-site and virtual (teletherapy) therapies as needed Proficiency in addressing fine and gross motor development in pediatric populations Collaborative, communicative, and adaptable within multidisciplinary team environments Licensure to practice occupational therapy in Oregon (or eligibility to obtain)
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students to identify barriers to academic participation and recommend appropriate OT interventions Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focusing on fine and gross motor skill development Conduct sessions in person or via secure teletherapy platforms, adapting interventions as needed for virtual environments Document progress, maintain school-required records, and contribute to IEP meetings as part of a student-centered team Consult with teachers and family members to support classroom strategies and student success This contract position offers a fulfilling way to make a difference in the lives of students each day.
