Job Description

In this role you will be: Evaluate patients referred for occupational therapy using standardized assessments and clinical judgment. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs (activities of daily living), fine motor skills, cognitive functioning, and overall independence. Provide caregiver education and recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and home modifications. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, physicians, and social workers. Document all assessments, plans, treatments, and progress notes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR). Participate in discharge planning to ensure appropriate follow-up care, home safety, and community resources. Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and professional standards (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission, AOTA). Support student education and mentorship as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy required , Master's or Doctorate preferred
EXPERIENCE
1+ years of experience in an inpatient hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire Licensure as an occupational therapist in Pennsylvania Valid PA driver's license with good record and access to a vehicle
