Key Qualifications:
Holds a valid Occupational Therapist license Previous experience within a school setting or working with school-aged children is highly desirable Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs Document and track student progress, maintaining detailed records Consult with educators and parents to integrate therapy goals within the classroom and at home Contribute to IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations for student growth Promote independence, fine motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive strategies Stay current with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy and educational laws
