Required Qualifications:
Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Previous experience working with children or in a school setting strongly preferred Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals Organizational skills to manage caseloads and meet deadlines Adaptability and creativity in developing interventions for diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' functional skills and needs in the school setting Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal planning Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, individually or in small groups Monitor and document student progress, updating goals and plans as needed Collaborate with educators and families to support carryover of therapy strategies Offer training and resources for staff as needed to facilitate student participation within the classroom Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations This role offers the chance to work in a team-oriented atmosphere, engage in meaningful interactions, and make a tangible impact on student success.
