Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a dynamic school setting on a rewarding contract basis near West Chester, PA. Make a meaningful difference as you support students in reaching their fullest potential and work alongside supportive educators dedicated to holistic student growth.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to assess and address a variety of physical, sensory, and developmental challenges
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to determine students' needs Develop and implement tailored intervention plans in alignment with student IEPs Collaborate with faculty and special education staff to address students' goals and progress Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on relevant interventions and accommodations Support students in developing skills for classroom participation, fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors Maintain thorough records documenting sessions, progress, and communications Provide consultation and education for staff and families to enhance student success This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a positive impact while broadening your professional experience in a supportive environment.
