Job Description

Occupational Therapist - Pediatric Feeding and Sensory Progress Speech & Language Center (PSL) is expanding! PSL has employment opportunities for a in-home and in-clinic hybrid pediatric/Early Intervention - Occupational Therapist . This position is best suited for a licensed Occupational Therapist that brings previous experience working with children from the birth to three years old to school age in the natural environment and is comfortable working in an extremely independent environment.

Occupational Therapist facilitates development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated OT, PT, and ST clinicians providing quality pediatric evaluations and treatment to children from birth through 18 years of age. A passionate, motivated pediatric OT who has specialties in pediatric feeding and/or sensory integration is welcomed.
Job Description:
Evaluate, establish and implement a plan of care, and re-assess children for fine motor, adaptive, sensory, and feeding development; multidisciplinary program as well as individual OT program Partner with the therapy team for Regional Center evaluations, to determine eligibility and recommend services that are compliant with state and/or federal regulations and insurance regulations Demonstrate the knowledge to write an evaluation report independently with appropriate clinical analysis and proper goals/recommendation Be knowledgeable of all 5 domains in development including: communication, cognitive, adaptive, motor, and social emotional development Collaborate with families and provide opportunities for families to be involved in the child's therapy services Be familiar with evidence-based, functional therapy approach to meet medical necessity Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn in a quick-paced environment

Abides by regulations and practice standards of pediatric occupational therapy, direct patient care, rehab treatment techniques as utilized by generally treating multiple age groups, using applicable equipment and instruments, assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and demands, critical thinking in the performance of pediatric occupational therapy, establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other.
Requirement:
Valid and Current California Occupational Therapy License (CBOT).
Pediatric Experience Preferred Experience:
1-5 years of previous pediatric therapy experience Pediatric Feeding and Sensory Integration Specialties Preferred.
Computer Skills:
Previous use of Center Reach, helpful but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS TEams is helpful but not required Ability to quickly learn and adapt to therapy software
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass clean/clear - FBI/DOJ background check Bilingual - Spanish, helpful Mandated Child Abuse/Neglect Reporter First Aid/CPR training TB results (two-step within the last 30 days)
