Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance the quality of life for individuals with various disabilities and conditions. This role is particularly focused on working with patients diagnosed with ID/IDD, individuals with autism, and those requiring acute care or home health services. Duties Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' needs and abilities. Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each patient's unique requirements. Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care and effective discharge planning. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and techniques to facilitate recovery. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to patient care. Experience working with adult populations, individuals with autism, or those with disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with acute care settings and home health practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address the specific needs of diverse patient populations.
