You will provide occupational therapy services to students with a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs while collaborating with educators, families, and other related service providers. Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students' functional strengths, needs, and barriers to educational participation. Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions based on students' needs and educational goals. Provide direct and/or consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs. Address areas including fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, handwriting, visual perceptual skills, sensory processing, motor coordination, self-care, classroom participation, and functional school skills . Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, school psychologists, administrators, and families to support student success. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and other school-based team meetings as appropriate. Provide recommendations for classroom strategies, accommodations, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on ongoing performance and educational needs. Complete evaluations, progress reports, treatment notes, and other required documentation accurately and within required timelines. Maintain compliance with applicable state regulations, school district requirements, and professional standards. Provide consultation and education to school staff and caregivers regarding strategies to support students' occupational performance and participation. Support students with a variety of developmental and educational needs, including autism, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and other disabilities. Qualifications Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Washington State. Master's degree or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Experience working with children and/or in a school-based setting preferred. Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy and the role of OT within an educational environment. Knowledge of fine motor development, handwriting, visual-motor integration, visual perceptual skills, sensory processing, motor coordination, and functional school skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to complete required documentation accurately and within established timelines. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to providing student-centered, evidence-based occupational therapy services.
