Job Description

About Northern Children's Therapy Center (CTC): Founded in 1993, The Northern California Children's Therapy Center (CTC) is a nonprofit organization committed to a mission that no child should go through life with a disability that could be aided or prevented through early intervention.
CTC provides multidisciplinary services including:
physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, Infant Development Program (IDP), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). CTC serves all children aged birth through 21 years, regardless of their ability to pay. CTC is also the proud home of Help Me Grow Yolo County. CTC is a 501c3 governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of community members. Currently, Children's Therapy Center's 30+ therapists provide approximately 38,000 hours of service annually to over 850 children and their families in Sacramento and Yolo County.

Physical Therapist:
  • Current valid CA professional license in OccupationalTherapy
  • Training in working with a variety of pediatric conditions and diagnosis
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborates well in team environments
  • Highly inquisitive and curious
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Deeply compassionate and committed to helping children and families
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Pass a criminal background check
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform and record initial evaluations of child
  • Provide individual and/or group occupational therapy according to child's medical, developmental, and educational needs, including development of appropriate home intervention program.
Settings may include:
clinic, homes, community locations, and telehealth.
  • Re-evaluate and modify intervention plan as indicated in all areas of development
  • Be responsible for personal professional development
  • Participate as team member in development of total treatment/education plan and is cross training of disciplines.
  • Timely note and report writing
  • Participate in clinical education of occupational therapy students and undergraduate interns
  • Collaborate regularly with the CTC team, CTC management, and outside agencies regarding pertinent issues and needs
  • Function as
EIS:
The EIS is considered to be a professional in the field of early intervention. The EIS is a core provider of early intervention services to infants, toddlers and their families in the Early Start service system. The EIS meets the requirements of the IDEA, Part C designation as a provider of specialized instruction through certification, credentialing or authorization by appropriate state agencies or organizations.
