Description Occupational Therapist (OT) - Outpatient Clinic | Full-time | Tazewell VA Are you an Occupational Therapist passionate about helping children thrive while also maintaining a diverse outpatient caseload? Join our growing therapy team in Tazewell, VA, where you'll have the opportunity to work primarily with pediatric patients in an outpatient setting while also supporting school-based services and treating select adult patients. This unique hybrid role offers clinical variety, mentorship opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple settings. Whether you're experienced in pediatrics or looking to grow your pediatric skillset, you'll be supported by a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on compassionate, evidence-based care.
Your Role:
As an Occupational Therapist in our outpatient clinic, you will: Evaluate and treat primarily pediatric patients in an outpatient setting Provide school-based supervision and collaboration as needed Treat a smaller caseload of adult outpatient patients Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals Implement therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence, sensory processing, fine motor skills, ADLs, and participation in daily activities Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and progress strategies Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists Maintain timely and accurate documentation within EMR systems
