Job Summary The Brighton Center for Specialty Care is the newest University of Michigan Ambulatory Care facility dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The facility is in Brighton, MI. We are actively seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-oriented individuals who will share in the goal of creating the ideal experience for our patients, families and employees. Responsibilities• You will provide direct patient care, utilizing evidence based treatment, designed to restore and maximize performance, using indicated pediatric interventions, in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team. Required Qualifications• If licensed before 1/1/2007: Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy. If licensed on or after 1/1/2007: Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. Satisfactory completion of an internship program. Current Michigan Occupational Therapist License Registered member of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) This classification requires Primary Source Verification. Minimum of 1-year pediatric rehabilitation (OT) experience in a medical setting Experience with the following across the pediatric continuum: Splinting Feeding Casting Sensory Integration Neuologic and Genetic diagnoses Developmental diagnoses Desired Qualifications• Experience with the following standardized measurement tools: Experience with orthopedic diagnoses preferred Why Join Michigan Medicine? As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Michigan Medicine, you will provide medically based outpatient care for infants through young adults with a wide variety of diagnoses including neurological, feeding, developmental, orthopedic, and sensory processing. Our Pediatric OTs are a collaborative, dedicated group who work in coordination with a multidisciplinary team including: PT, SLP, TR, and PMR Physicians, among others, to provide highly specialized care to patients and their families. Work Schedule This is a 32 hour per week position. Clinic hours of operation are Monday through Friday. Facility hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturdays 7:00am-12:30pm. Saturdays would not be required for this position, but applicants must have availability to work within the hours of operation Monday through Friday.
