Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings and telehealth services. This contract position supports students in a remote learning environment and is located in Shiprock, NM.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing occupational therapy services to two 7-year-old students, delivering 30 minutes of direct therapy per week for each student. Completing additional indirect service time, totaling 1 to 2 hours per week. Utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver virtual therapy sessions as applicable. Collaborating with educators and caregivers to support student progress and document outcomes. Maintaining compliance with school protocols and state regulations for therapy services.
Qualifications sought for this role:
Current Occupational Therapy licensure in New Mexico. Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings. Proficiency with telehealth service delivery tools. Strong communication skills to coordinate with school staff and families. Ability to manage scheduling and documentation requirements efficiently. Position duration runs from August 3rd through May 19th, aligning with the academic calendar. This role offers flexibility for virtual service providers and requires commitment to consistent weekly hours.
