School Occupational Therapist | Pontiac, Michigan Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Pontiac, MI Job Details Part-time | Contract 3 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful role providing occupational therapy services within a supportive school environment just outside of Pontiac, MI. This contract position focuses on working directly with students from kindergarten through eighth grade, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact over the course of the school year. With a manageable caseload at a single location and weekly hours ranging from 4 to 5, you'll have the flexibility to provide high-quality care while balancing your commitments.
Key Qualifications:
Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan (MI OT required) Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred Comfort working with K-8 student populations and a variety of disabilities Ability to maintain in-person presence; remote/virtual work is not an option for this position Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially in a team/panel interview setting
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services on-site at one school Collaborate with teachers and other special education professionals to support student goals Maintain assessment records, progress notes, and data tracking Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families to evaluate needs and progress Ensure practice adheres to all ethical, legal, and procedural standards as set forth by the district
