MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
  • Licensure/Certification as required by State Law and/or Regulations
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work cooperatively with school staff to facilitate the educational participation for children with physical disabilities
  • Integrate therapy service into schools' curricula and within a student's program
  • Plan daily occupational therapy activities and provide direct occupational therapy services to students as required by Individual Education Programs and Section 504 Plans
  • Develop and maintain current student service delivery schedules
  • Participate, as appropriate, in the special education evaluation process
  • With supervision, develop draft occupational therapy goals and objectives for Individualized Education Programs and Section 504 Plans
  • Consult with parents, educational personnel, doctors, medical agencies and vendors
  • Design and adapt the physical environment and adapt equipment
  • Assist in gathering data used in the evaluation process.
  • Identify valid evaluation tools to use with a variety of students
  • Maintain equipment and supplies used in the provision of occupational therapy services
  • Provide home sessions with parents when deemed necessary to the student's performance and improvement
  • Educate, train and supervise educational staff and families
  • Communicate to parents/guardians regarding student progress and treatment
  • Attend IEP and ETM Meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President of Bristol County Rehabilitation Services, Inc.
