Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students' growth and success during the 26/27 school year! As an Occupational Therapy provider for a local educational setting, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families, making a difference in K-12 students' lives—with a special focus on the PreK age group. This contract role spans from September 8 through June 18, with a manageable two days per week commitment, offering a balanced, rewarding schedule. Ideal candidates will have a background providing school-based OT services (OTR or seasoned COTA considered) and possess strong skills in working with early learners. If you have experience supporting those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and integrating AAC devices into therapy, your specialized expertise will be highly valuable. Your compassion, adaptability, and communication skills will shine in this nurturing academic environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) or experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) School-based therapy background, with emphasis on PreK and K-12 populations Familiarity with supporting students with ASD and experience with AAC device implementation preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities within multidisciplinary teams Commitment to providing creative, student-centered interventions
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, assessments, and direct therapy sessions, primarily with PreK students Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans in sync with IEP teams Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress and participation Document services and progress efficiently, adhering to educational standards and deadlines Contribute expertise to school staff on best practices for inclusive learning environments You'll benefit from a flexible, part-time schedule, allowing for excellent work/life balance while making an authentic impact in a supportive community.
