Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a happy, dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist / to join our dynamic healthcare team. We are looking for per diem hours for initial evaluations at both our Portmouth and North Kingstown locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings, including outpatient care, pediatrics, sensory dysregulation, fine motor, vision therapy, feeding, and more. This role is essential in helping patients improve their independence with age appropriate skills, and improve both their quality of life as well as their families for kids Birth- 22 through tailored therapeutic interventions. The Occupational Therapist will work with diverse populations, pediatrics with numerous types diagnosis, co treating, to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific goals of each patient. Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge planning. Educate patients and their families about treatment options, techniques, and home exercises. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy practices and techniques. Provide support and guidance to patients with disabilities or impairments. Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Experience in outpatient settings, occupational health, geriatrics, skilled nursing facilities, or pediatrics is preferred. Strong knowledge of human physiology and the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate approach with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Experience with discharge planning and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
