Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time opportunity supporting students' development as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a vibrant educational environment near Pawtucket, RI. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering the chance to have a meaningful impact on students with high needs in a collaborative, school-based setting. Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Certification as a COTA, with eligibility to practice in Rhode Island Previous experience in school settings or pediatric healthcare preferred Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting interventions for diverse learning needs Compassion, resilience, and excellent communication skills Organized and reliable, able to collaborate effectively with OT, educators, and other team members
Responsibilities:
Support Occupational Therapists in providing direct and indirect services to students on a high-needs caseload Implement interventions aligned with IEP goals to help students improve functional skills Document progress and contribute to ongoing assessments and planning Engage positively with families, caregivers, and school staff Participate in safety care training and uphold safety protocols
