Start Date:
Immediate Opening Position Summary Tiverton Public Schools is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and highly qualified Occupational Therapist to provide direct occupational therapy services to student receiving homebound medical instruction. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with family, special education staff, and related service providers to support the student in accessing their educational programs and making progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct services in home-based setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with parents, special educators, related service providers, and medical professionals.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate service logs and documentation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
  • Provide consultation to family and educational staff regarding strategies, accommodations, and adaptive equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with IDEA, Rhode Island Department of Education regulations, and district procedures.
