Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment and make a meaningful impact as a School Occupational Therapist. Beginning August 2026 and continuing through May 2027, this contract opportunity invites you to work two days per week (16 hours total) with a vibrant K-12 student population. Your expertise will support students across a wide range of ages, helping them achieve greater independence and participate fully in their educational experience. This role is perfect for professionals passionate about empowering students and fostering their development.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state Prior experience as a school-based OT is highly valued Strong understanding of K-12 student needs and IEP process Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans Compassion and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' unique occupational therapy needs Develop and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to each student's goals Document progress and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with school and district guidelines Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Provide consultation and training to staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students This part-time schedule provides a unique opportunity to balance your professional and personal life while making a significant contribution to students' growth and daily functioning.
