Responsibilities Conduct detailed occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional functioning. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs, including therapy for ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), motor skills, sensory integration, and cognitive rehabilitation. Assist clients with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence. Coordinate discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transitions between care settings. Support clients with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental challenges, or disabilities through specialized interventions and therapy programs. Maintain accurate medical documentation and clinical notes within electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and families to optimize client outcomes through interdisciplinary teamwork. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings such as inpatient hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, schools or home health environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and evidence-based occupational therapy practices. Experience working with pediatric populations—including early intervention and school-aged children—and supporting clients with autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disorders. Skilled in developing care plans that incorporate client goals and functional outcomes while managing complex cases involving post-acute care or geriatrics. Proficiency in occupational therapy assessments, treatment plan development, clinical documentation, and electronic health records management. Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
