Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and versatile PRN (as-needed) or Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational therapy, with experience across various settings including outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient facilities, and home health environments. This job requires work in both the home and out-patient settings as we work to integrate our patients from home into the community. Pay is competitive and based on experience. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) to promote independence and improve quality of life. Implement tailored occupational therapy programs for the home and out-patient settings. Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions across care settings. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and manage electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory standards. Provide patient education on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety precautions to support ongoing recovery. Participate in case management activities, including progress monitoring, treatment adjustments, and communication with clients' families or caregivers. Skills Extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. Proficiency in conducting occupational therapy assessments and developing effective treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy interventions. Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, and medical documentation procedures. Ability to assist patients with ADLs, discharge planning, and implementing occupational therapy programs tailored to individual needs. Experience working with clients on the autism spectrum or neurodevelopmental disorders; supporting autism spectrum disorders is highly valued. Skilled in electronic health records (EHR) management and clinical interprofessional collaboration to ensure comprehensive patient care. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists and other healthcare professionals.
