Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Occupational Therapist to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, school-based setting. Located near Hampton, SC, this contract role offers the chance to create a positive learning environment while enjoying the benefits of a flexible workweek. In collaboration with dedicated staff, you'll provide essential therapy services that empower students to thrive academically and personally.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Active South Carolina Occupational Therapy license (required) Background in school-based OT, home health, or healthcare OT practice Strong understanding of pediatric therapy interventions and IEP documentation Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and other professionals Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and student needs
Role Responsibilities:
Assess students' occupational needs and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver evidence-based therapy to help students achieve educational and developmental goals Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school policies Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal student support Promote student independence and advocate for appropriate classroom accommodations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluations Adapt services and techniques to fit diverse learning profiles and school environments
