Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a school-based team in Lancaster, South Carolina. About the Position We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School-Based Occupational Therapist to provide evaluation, intervention, and consultation services for students in an educational setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students develop the skills needed to participate successfully in classroom activities, school routines, and daily functional tasks. Job Duties Evaluate students to identify occupational therapy needs impacting academic participation and independence Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across assigned grade levels Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory regulation strategies, self-care skills, and functional classroom abilities Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding accommodations, modifications, and assistive strategies Complete evaluations, progress notes, documentation, and required reports Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and classroom strategies as appropriate Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies based on student needs Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements Requirements Masters degree or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Valid South Carolina Occupational Therapy license through the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy, or eligibility to obtain licensure Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Completion of required occupational therapy education and supervised clinical experience requirements Knowledge of
IDEA, IEP
