Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide coverage during a maternity leave. This position focuses on supporting young learners through collaboration with the Early Learning Assessment Team, offering meaningful interventions and impact in a school-based setting. With a clear schedule of 4 days per week, 7.5 hours each day, you'll play a key role in evaluating preschool-age students and compiling comprehensive evaluation reports. The assignment runs from December 1 to March 24, making it ideal for those seeking a focused, temporary role.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
South Carolina occupational therapy license (active SC LLR credential required) Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to conduct thorough student assessments and create detailed reports Must be able to work on-site; virtual/remote work is not available for this position
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Early Learning Assessment Team to identify and assess needs of preschool students Administer a variety of standardized and observational assessments Complete written evaluation reports in a timely, accurate manner Provide professional recommendations and collaborate with educators and families Maintain documentation and adhere to all school and state guidelines throughout the assignment Enjoy a structured schedule with a supportive team while making a direct difference in students' early educational journeys.
