Job Description

Black Hills Special Services Cooperative is seeking a dedicated full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist to support the development and rehabilitation of children with disabilities in the Hot Springs School District. This role focuses on helping individuals build independence and functional skills through personalized therapy programs. Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities. Work Location

  • $45•65/hour based on experience Job Type•Full-time or Part-Time Job Description•Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs based on student needs Collaborate with rehabilitation teams, educators, physicians, and families Teach functional, daily living, and pre-vocational skills Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress Design adaptive equipment and recommend environmental modifications Support participation in educational, recreational, and social activities Travel to various sites to provide therapy services Train staff, families, and community partners on therapy strategies Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance records Participate in meetings, trainings, and community outreach opportunities Ensure confidentiality and adherence to safety practices Job Qualifications•Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist Two (2) years of experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Valid South Dakota Driver's License Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and work across diverse teams Company Website•Bhssc.
