Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain) Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Previous experience with pediatric or school-based populations strongly preferred Familiarity with IEPs, goal-writing, documentation, and progress monitoring Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify students motor and functional needs in the educational setting Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals Collaborate actively with special education and general education staff to integrate therapies into classroom activities Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, and provide input to support student success Maintain accurate records and progress notes in accordance with school and state protocols Offer consultation and resources to families and teachers for continued development Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in professional development as needed Benefits of the
