Job Description

Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist for Saturdays! Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy (CEPT) is a premier clinic offering Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech Therapy (ST), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Counseling services. We are dedicated to fostering independence and holistic development from infancy through adulthood. With a team of highly experienced professionals, CEPT has been at the forefront of therapy services for over two decades, specializing in sensory processing, speech and language issues, fine and gross motor skills, ADD/ADHD, and Autism Spectrum and Pervasive Developmental Disorders. Our state-of-the-art facilities include therapy gyms, a sensory light room, and a playground, allowing therapists to seamlessly integrate movement and sensory activities into treatment sessions. Teenagers and young adults benefit from our unique on-site apartment, mock grocery store, and coffee shop, where they can develop daily living and vocational skills. At Cutting Edge, our focus is on therapy with a purpose. Key Responsibilities Provide client-centered and evidence-based practice across all components of client care including the initial evaluation process, intervention, re-evaluation, and discharge. Supervise and coach clinical students and/or volunteers. Mentor Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants through supervision. Contribute to department growth through developing and conducting in-service training programs. Assist in developing strategic and long-range plans for the program. Participate in case reviews, medical consultation staffing, and school multidisciplinary team/staffing. Participate in public speaking or community education programs focusing on therapy in children/adolescents. Promote knowledge of innovation in pediatric Occupational Therapy by staying informed about new medical research and treatment modalities and inspiring others to do the same. Ensure the highest quality of Occupational Therapy services for CEPT clients. Comply with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Performs other duties as assigned. Professional Qualifications Master's degree in occupational therapy or equivalent. Currently registered and licensed by the State of Texas or eligible for licensure within the immediate future. Pediatric experience preferred. Physical Requirements Extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Lifting, positioning, and/or transferring clients, including participation in physical activities and play-based therapies. Ability to lift up to a minimum of 50 pounds.
