Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families Competency in designing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt interventions as needed Commitment to ongoing professional development Efficient organizational and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students' functional needs Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement strategies that facilitate student participation and independence in school activities Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation and progress reports Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and interdisciplinary initiatives Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and student accommodations This contract position offers the chance to work alongside dedicated educational professionals, influence student success at multiple levels, and enhance your own professional expertise in a dynamic school environment.
