Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Transform student lives and help shape their academic success by joining a school-based team as a part-time Occupational Therapist. In this flexible contract position, you'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure children receive the support they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Texas Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar educational setting Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs for students with diverse needs Ability to assess, plan, and execute effective intervention strategies Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Strong commitment to supporting students' social, emotional, and physical development
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted occupational therapy services to students in accordance with established IEPs and goals Conduct assessments, gather input from teachers and families, and document progress accurately Partner with school staff to develop effective classroom modifications and teacher consultations Facilitate sessions addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive strategies Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and related professional activities Maintain timely and thorough records to support compliance with state and federal guidelines This part-time contract position offers a chance to meaningfully impact students' educational journeys while enjoying scheduling flexibility.
