Qualifications and Desired Background:
Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in Texas Experience within a school setting strongly preferred Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation Familiarity with sensory integration, fine motor, and adaptive skill interventions Effective communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate with other professionals and families to support student success
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate student needs to develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement therapeutic interventions in the classroom Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations Keep accurate records of student progress, assessments, and interventions Educate families and staff on strategies to support students' occupational therapy goals This contract role offers the chance to support a diverse student community near Grand Prairie, TX, and have real impact as part of an interprofessional team.
