Job Description
Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Experience the vibrant culture and scenic beauty of Helotes, TX, a gateway to the renowned Texas Hill Country and just a short drive from the excitement of San Antonio. This travel assignment offers the perfect balance: hone your clinical expertise during the day and explore the rich history, outdoor recreation, and diverse culinary scene in your free time. As a traveling therapy professional, you'll have the unique advantage of working alongside teams with varied leadership styles and innovative workplace practices, broadening your skill set and strengthening your resume for future opportunities.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week assignment 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM shifts 36 guaranteed hours per week Required two weekend shifts per month (with compensatory day off during the week)Responsibilities:
Deliver in-patient rehab occupational therapy services, including neuro and orthopedic evaluations and treatments Conduct acute care evaluations and treatments in ortho, telemetry, and ICU environments Thoroughly document patient care using the Meditech system Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans Float to other areas of the hospital as needed in accordance with facility policyDesired Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of in-patient rehab and/or hospital experience (required) Active OT license (no temporary licenses accepted) Prefer 2-3 years of acute hospital experience, NDT/brain injury certification, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency Experience documenting in Meditech is a plus Professional standards and dress code: Sage green/olive scrub top, black scrub pants, sage green jacket; white or black undershirts Neat, professional hair and nails; visible tattoos and facial piercings should be coveredBenefits & Perks:
