Key Qualifications:

Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M) License in Texas Fluency in Spanish preferred, supporting bilingual instruction Experience with school-aged populations, from kindergarten through 12th grade Strong communication and organizational abilities Comfortable delivering services and collaborating remotely

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of students orientation and mobility needs Develop individualized instructional plans to help students increase safe, independent movement within school and community environments Provide virtual training and support to students, school staff, and families Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational planning for each student Document progress and adjust strategies as necessary to maximize student outcomes Adhere to all state educational standards and best practices in remote O&M support
