Full time or Part Time OTR $50.00 visit / $100.00 evaluation COTA $40.00 visit 212• Therapy is a Pediatric Home Care Company located in Beaumont, Tx servicing the Golden Triangle area and East Texas. We offer Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy to children 0-18 years of age. This is a perfect position for someone who is looking to broaden their scope of practice working with children or looking for flexibility. therapists are free to choose their service area. New grads or therapists with pediatric interest are welcome to apply. Shadowing and mentoring opportunities are available. Applicants mush hold a bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy, must be currently licensed in Texas with the ECPTOTE board, and must be CPR certified. We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to develop, recover or maintain the daily living and play skills of children with physical, mental or developmental conditions. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities. The successful candidate will have an holistic perspective and will be able to adapt the environment to fit the person. Responsibilities Address client's aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life quality Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL). Guide and educate family members and caregivers Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals Collect data and document processes followed Skills Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools ( e.g.
PDMS, BOT 2, DVPT
) Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession Professional behavior Excellent interpersonal communication skills Valid Texas license to practice occupational therapy BS degree or greater in occupational therapy
