Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist (OT), where you will play a vital role in enhancing patients' independence and quality of life through personalized therapy programs. Your expertise will help individuals adults and geriatric achieve their rehabilitation goals through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive occupational therapy treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals Conduct detailed assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and sensory functions using standardized occupational therapy assessments Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams such as speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers to coordinate care strategies Support discharge planning by evaluating patient progress and recommending appropriate therapies or adaptive equipment for post-acute or community settings Maintain accurate medical documentation and clinical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to healthcare regulations and standards Provide education and training to patients, families, caregivers on strategies to support ongoing therapy goals and manage disabilities Requirements Valid Occupational Therapist license or registration in the relevant jurisdiction with current credentials in good standing Proven experience working with geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and evidence-based occupational therapy practices Experience conducting occupational therapy assessments and developing treatment plans for various settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics or home health environments Skilled in assisting with ADLs, discharge planning, case management, and implementing occupational therapy programs with the adult population. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management and clinical documentation standards Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams Ability to adapt interventions for patients with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities while supporting autism spectrum disorders initiatives Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise transforms lives!
