Key Qualifications and Experience:

Active OT license in Virginia (or eligibility for VA licensure) Successful background in school-based occupational therapy Comfortable serving K-12 students with a variety of needs Experience completing student evaluations and implementing IEP goals Proven ability to supervise, mentor, or collaborate with therapy assistants (COTAs) Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct, onsite OT services to K-12 students, focusing on individualized therapeutic plans Conduct student assessments and participate in IEP meetings Supervise and support two COTAs, ensuring best practices and professional growth Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all services provided Communicate effectively with school staff and families to promote student goals and progress Compensation for this role is highly competitive and reflects your skills and experience, with rates beginning at $40 and up to $50 or more per hour for qualified candidates.
